Creating Invoices, Subscriptions & Payment Links

In Stream, you can create three different payment type that fits your needs — whether it’s creating instant invoices, setting up subscriptions, or generating payment links — each designed for a specific use case.

Instant Invoices

Instant invoices are one-time invoices that let you charge a customer immediately without creating a recurring subscription. They’re ideal for single payments — for example, a one-off product purchase, setup fee, or custom service.

1. Creating Invoices

• Step 1: Click on Create

  

• Step 2: Click on Instant

•  Step 3: Select the customer you want to send the invoice to

•  Step 4: Select a product 

•  Step 5: Choose the quantity of the product

  

•  Step 6: Select the day the invoice is due

  

•  Step 7: Select Manage Payment methods

  

•  Step 8: Select whether to allow installment or not

  • Card are allowed (by default)

    

•  Step 9: Select Create invoice

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are recurring billing plans that automatically charge customers on a regular schedule — for example, monthly tuition, yearly fees, or installment payments.
They help automate repeated payments, reduce manual work, and ensure customers never miss a due date.
2. Creating Subscriptions

• Step 1: Click on Create

  

• Step 2: Click on Subscription

• 

•  Step 3: Select the customer you want to send the subscription to

  

• Step 4: Select a product 

  

•  Step 5: Choose the quantity of the product

•  Step 6: Select the day the subscription starts

•  Step 7: Select how many billing cycles the subscription will repeat

•  Step 8: Select Manage Payment methods

•  Step 9: Select whether to allow installment or not
  • Select whether to allow auto recurring payments or not
    • Card are allowed (by default)

 Step 10: Select Create subscription

Payment Links

Payment links are unique, shareable links to gather payments from multiple customers at once.

Each payment link can accept a specific number of entries (payments) — once that limit is reached, the link is automatically disabled.
Alternatively, the merchant can choose to make the link infinite, allowing unlimited payments through the same link.
3. Creating Payment Links

• Step 1: Click on Create

• Step 2: Click on Payment Link

• Step 3: Create a Payment link name

• Step 4: Select a product 

• Step 5: Choose the quantity of the product

• Step 6: Select the number of entries to use the payment link
  • Infinite is chosen (by default)

• Step 7: Select create payment link
